Traditional features:The Traditional spiral stairs kit is available in Southern Yellow Pine, Red Oak, or other wood species. It is supplied with a traditional solid wood spiral rail that is shipped in a single piece for stairs up to 132" high. The rail has a square cross-section about 1-5/8" thick and 1-3/4" high, to meet graspability requirements of national building codes. Traditional style spiral stairs come with a square center column for the 4'-0', 4'-6", 5'-0"and 5'-7" diameter kits (a round column can be ordered as an option). The 5'-1", 6'-0", 6'-6" and 7'-0" kits have a round center column.
These prices are for kits up to11 treads (12 rises). For taller stairs see the note below the charts. The spiral sizes below DO NOT meet national building codes. Scroll down for spiral sizes that do meet national building codes. Check with your building inspector if you are not sure whether your stair needs to meet building codes.

Stairs taller than 9'-6" (114"): for each additional tread in pine required add $135. Each additional tread adds up to 9-1/2" to stair height. Example: heights from over 114" up to 123-1/2" require one additional tread, add $135 to the above prices; heights of over 123-1/2" up to 132", add two treads, $270; over 132" up to 141-1/2", add three treads, $405. For additional oak treads add $200 each.
Round center column option: add $290 to the total price for pine, add $375 for oak.
