Stairs taller than 9'-6" (114"): for each additional tread in
pine required add $175. Each additional tread adds up to 9-1/2"
to stair height. Example: heights from over 114" up to 123-1/2"
require one additional tread, add $175 to the above prices; heights
of over 123-1/2" up to 132", add two treads, $350; over 132"
up to 141-1/2", add three treads, $525. For additional oak
treads add $250 each.
The Smart Spiral option
This optional version of the Contemporary style is an entirely
new look for a spiral stair. The block style Smart Spiral Handrail ("smart"
because it folds up for shipping and then figures out it's own spiral path
as it is being installed) and the square center column best fits rustic and
some modern interior decors.
